Bar West Debuts at YBR with Live Entertainment

West will soon meet East at YBR Casino & Sports Book with the arrival of a new and exciting nightlife venue that boasts live entertainment every weekend.

The new lounge, officially named Bar West, offers an unforgettable counterpoint to the other rollicking stage inside Chittenango’s hottest nightlife destination: The one near The Lanes at YBR Casino & Sports Book called The East End Bands & Brews.

This means there will be two places inside YBR to grab cocktails and listen to live music on weekends.

Jerry Marrello, ONE’s new Vice President of Regional Casinos, said the new concept demonstrates the Oneida Indian Nation’s commitment to provide guests with the latest and greatest experiences.

“We’re always innovating,” said Jerry, who was GM at Point Place Casino until he was promoted in December. “For that reason alone, this is an incredibly exciting place to be.”

Bar West takes the place of the lounge formerly known as Heart & Courage. The vibe of the new spot will be more industrial than it was in the past, with exposed ductwork hanging from the ceiling and high-top tables with club chairs. It will be chic. It will be modern. Perhaps most important, it will open before the end of the month.

According to Matt Johnson, YBR’s new general manager, the space will provide another great nightlife option at a property that already is considered the go-to spot for fun in Chittenango.

“Our guests like to have a good time, and we’re responding by creating another bar and nightlife venue that can serve this need,” he said. “From here on out, when guests come to YBR they’ll have options for where to go to unwind. We feel that’s a great luxury."

Matt added that mixologists have been working around the clock to come up with a new cocktail menu to work in tandem with a new bar food. YBR also hired a slew of brand-new bartenders from across Upstate New York to run the program at Bar West. Several bartenders from The Lake House at Sylvan Beach moved over as well.

Like every good casino watering hole, Bar West will have tabletop gaming inlaid into the bar itself. We’ll see you there.
