Celebrating 5 Years of Point Place Casino

Birthdays are always a big cause for celebration around here, and Point Place Casino turns five next month, on March 1st, to be exact.

The casino first opened its doors on that date in 2018. Since then, PPC has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike for its lodge-like vibe, friendly dealers, top-notch entertainment, and stellar food and beverage options.

General Manager Kenny Martin said PPC is a special spot.

“I’ve only been here a month, but my pride about this milestone is equivalent to that of people who have been here since the very beginning,” he said. “It’s not often that a casino captures the hearts and minds of regular players, but you can tell from the way people talk about this place that Point Place Casino has achieved that.”

To commemorate the big day, PPC will be hosting some major cash giveaways (see below) and doling out free 5-year anniversary cupcakes on the actual anniversary (March 1).

Later in March, PPC will launch a new menu service inside The Lounge with Caesars Sports; this is sure to be a hit with the National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s and women’s college basketball tournaments coming in the middle of the month.

The casino will also welcome live deejays every weekend, as has become the usual.

PPC has captivated guests since Day No. 1. Oneida Indian Nation Representative Ray Halbritter was directly involved in the design of the casino, and he has hailed it as an accomplishment from the very beginning. Mr. Halbritter noted the original vision was to create a property that would be embraced by both the local community and visitors from around the region.

“Point Place Casino continues to exceed our expectations and establish itself as a place people go to relax and be treated like family by our employees,” Mr. Halbritter has said.

Since its opening, Point Place Casino also has become a magnet for employment and economic growth. In keeping with the Oneida Indian Nation's record of investment in Central New York, Point Place Casino has gone on to generate significant public revenues for the region and create hundreds of local jobs.
