Oneida County Executive Delivers State of the County Address on Oneida Indian Nation Lands, Highlights Collaborative Partnership

On Wednesday, April 6, Oneida County Executive Tony Picente delivered his annual State of the County address on Oneida Indian Nation lands. It is the first time in New York history that a County Executive delivered a State of the County address on sovereign Indian lands. It was the utmost sign of respect by Tony Picente to the Oneida people, and a reflection of the uniquely collaborative relationship between the Oneida Indian Nation and Oneida County.

The event took place in the Shenandoah Clubhouse. It began with a video highlighting how much Central New York has benefited as a result of the special relationship between the Nation and Oneida County.
